Our Premium Low Traffic Door Monitoring Controllers The Sentry Low-Traffic Door Controller from Wander Control Systems has an LCD display which shows the time, door status, and other important data in a clear concise manner. Sentry functions are identical to the Platinum 3 ‘Perimeter Mode’ functions, but the Sentry is a lower cost door controller option for your secure areas, trusted vendor entrances, employee only doors, and emergency/fire exit doors. The Sentry controller can be used in conjunction with electromagnetic door locks (known as maglocks) for additional security.
Sentry does NOT have an antenna attached and does NOT selectively identify wanderers wearing RF Tags. Sentry WILL reduce equipment costs for a door area when an antenna system is not necessary. Click links below to view and print: Sentry is only Perimeter Mode ~ If the door is opened while the system is armed, the controller will activate an audible alarm to notify personnel of the security breach. The Sentry can be easily programmed to turn "ON" active status and "OFF" active status automatically at the same times each day, or it can be put into active status or removed from active status by an authorized employee. An escort code can be entered on the built-in keypad of the door controller or on additional remote keypads installed on the opposing side of the doorway. The escort code disables the door controller alarm for a short period of time to allow authorized entry and exit with no alarm sound or notification. This security feature can be set to only employee access and control or can be set to employee plus limited friends and family access and control. An optional nurse station or security station panel is available which will sound an audible alarm and display a visual alert when a door is in alarm condition. However, an authorized staff member must visually inspect the monitored area and turn off the alarm at the door controller. All hardware accessories that can be integrated with the Platinum 3 (controller with antenna for reading RF tags) will work with the Sentry door controller. The Sentry can be integrated with most pagers, nurse call systems, and many data reporting systems for more sophisticated applications. The Sentry door controller works well with a maglock for access control security, and has been installed in applications other than part of a wander system. The Sentry can help secure and limit access to areas for safe keeping of pharmaceuticals, important files, maintenance and engineering tools, computers, etc. Wander Control Systems equipment runs on low voltage – 12 Volts DC. The Sentry is completely MADE IN AMERICA and has a sturdy faceplate, keypad and back box made out of high quality metal for pleasant aesthetics and many years of durable service. |
