Our Most Popular lock: In a typical installation, a door can be opened, closed and latched by the existing mechanical door hardware. The door securely locks magnetically when a tagged resident enters the door area while the Wander Control System is in ‘wander mode’ or is constantly locked magnetically while the Wander Control System is in ‘perimeter mode.’ Attempting to exit by applying constant pressure to the door will cause the door to become unlatched, and activate the 3101B delay egress timer. The audible and red LED will pulsate for 15 seconds (30 seconds field selectable). After the time delay has elapsed, the lock will release and the audible will sound continuously with a green LED until the door is shut and the lock is reset. Entering a user selectable code on keypads on each side of the door will override the locked status for a user specified length of time – usually about 30 seconds – to allow authorized individuals access or egress through the door. Activating the fire alarm will disable the lock when connected and serviced properly by your fire alarm protection provider. Microprocessor Controlled: An advanced digital processor on-board manages all lock functions. Wander Control Systems, Inc. assumes no responsibility for supplying the correct magnetic locks to meet your state and local fire, occupancy, and licensor codes. All magnetic locks are supplied with a fire alarm interface relay. While we will be happy to suggest products and equipment to meet your needs, it is ultimately the responsibility of the facility to obtain permission, permits and variances from the appropriate state and local agencies for the installation of the specified system.
